About Us

|
JLJ Enterprises, Inc. was originally
founded in 1989 in Georgetown, DE, by food processing industry veteran, Jerry
Jerman, Sr. The business has greatly increased in size over the years, finally
expanding to its current facility in Harrington, DE in 1993. Since 1993, we
have expanded both our Inventory and business. We have added (4) additional
buildings in order to house our growing inventory and better service our
customers. We continuously increase and update our parts and equipment
inventory in order to fulfill all our customer’s needs and now carry one of the
largest inventories of Seamer (Closing Machines) and Seamer parts in the United
States. Please contact us with your parts and Seamer (Closing Machine) needs.
JLJ Enterprises, Inc. is dedicated to providing only quality products – parts
and equipment – and services to our customers. We pride ourselves on the
highest standard of professional competence, integrity, service and products.
We welcome you to visit our facility. Here are the components that make up our
facility:

A. Equipment
Inventory Warehouse:
We stock over $10 million dollars worth of inventory including most make and
model Angelus, American Can/Canco, Continental Seamers and parts as well as
support equipment. Our vast inventory includes Seamer (Closing Machine) parts
such as type and typeholders, seaming rolls and chucks (tooling), topper units,
worm feed devices, lift kits, stretch kits, machine proper, repair, standard
change parts and custom made and/or modified change parts.
B. Dip and Strip
Building:
Tear Down Facility referred to as: Dip and Strip Building: Our dip strip and
sandblasting building was designed with safety and protecting the environment
in mind. Disassembling equipment is a labor-intensive operation. Each part off
equipment is dipped, stripped and in some cases sandblasted to remove all the
paint and debris from parts, so when it is inspected any flaw or defect in
quality of parts can be determined. Cracks, wear, etc., are located on part
during this thorough process. Our parts are primed and hand painted with a
brush. This is to insure the proper amount of primer and paint is applied and
also to protect the environment. We use only FDA approved materials on parts
that may at one time or another come in contact with any food product.
C. Fabrication Building:
Used for the fabrication of conveyors, can twists, accumulation tables,
nitrogen systems, etc.
D. Parts Building:
We stock Seamer (Closing Machine) parts for a whole range of models, including
Angelus, American Can/Canco and Continental Machines. All in stock parts are
available for shipping on the same day of order placement for next day delivery
to our customers. In the event that the part needed isn’t in our inventory, we
will try to locate it for the customer. Our inventory includes machine proper,
repair, standard change parts and custom and/or modified change parts. In
addition, we carry type, typeholders, seaming units, worm feed devices, lift
kits, stretch kits, downstackers, etc. Please contact us with any of your parts
or equipment needs.
E. Machine Shop:
Our machine shop was designed for aiding us in rebuilding equipment and custom
modifying parts for specific uses by our customers. We have associates through
out the U.S. that aid our Engineer and Designing department with specific needs
of our customers.
